God is in control of every aspect of our lives. He always provides the means necessary and expects us to use the means at our disposal. We need to trust God to sovereignly work out His purpose in us and through us. But, we also have a responsibility to live prudent lives. Prayer is the acknowledgment of God's sovereignty and of our dependence upon Him to act on our behalf. Prudence is the acknowledgment of our responsibility to use all legitimate means.

This week our memory verse is Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (NKJV)
In the Greek it is saying that we are commanded to "Be anxious for not one thing". When we truly accept the idea that God is in control over every aspect of our lives and we know His sovereign hand is in every event and circumstance whether good or bad then we need not be anxious. We Can TRUST GOD in everything! But notice the verse goes on to say "but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." Ladies we have a responsibility to Trust God and that means praying in every situation for God's protection, His guidance, and His will to be done. And the result - "and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." How does this affect your way of thinking about the circumstances in your life?

We are a third of the way through our study on Trusting God. How has this study changed your perspective on your life seeing through scripture that God is in total control of your life - that there is Nothing that is going to happen to you that God has not allowed. We can Trust God because we know He is in Total control. We are all in this journey together and I look forward to hearing from you as to how it has affected your life.

Without being personal - naming names and details about the situation - can you think of a time in your life when you were treated unfairly or a malicious act was done to you or even to a friend you know. How has this study on God's sovereignty over people affected your attitude? Did your reaction to this situation show a trust in God, if not, how do you feel now about the situation and would you react differently?
Ladies, Thursday May 6th is the National Day of Prayer. In our study we have seen how God is in control of all the aspects in our lives, and on this National Day of Prayer we can rest in the fact that God is in control of our nation. Proverbs 21:1 "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases." Ladies, God has control over the kings, over the rulers of our nations - and we know He is in control of our nation also. Let's join together in one voice wherever you are and pray for our nation, our president, and those in leadership.

In our class today, we saw how God is in control of every aspect of our life in the good as well as the bad, that there is not one thing that is out of His control. I challenge you this week as you go through the routine of your day be conscience of God's presence in your life. I would love to hear from you on how this impacts your life knowing that God is in total control of every event in your life.

We had a wonderful class today as we talked about trusting God in every aspect of our lives, in the small details as well as the major ones, even when we simply don't understand and we don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. Please share what this class meant to you and how you are going to apply it to your life this week.
