God is in control of every aspect of our lives. He always provides the means necessary and expects us to use the means at our disposal. We need to trust God to sovereignly work out His purpose in us and through us. But, we also have a responsibility to live prudent lives. Prayer is the acknowledgment of God's sovereignty and of our dependence upon Him to act on our behalf. Prudence is the acknowledgment of our responsibility to use all legitimate means.

Sorry I have missed the last couple of Bible Studies. I have really enjoyed the study and the discussions at class. Excited to be back with you all!!

ReplyDeleteFrom Jane: Dr. Charles Stanley's overall message this morning spoke on God's sovereignty. He started speaking about the message from Romans 8:26,Romans 8:28 etc. He went on and referenced Matthew 6:25-34; Proverbs 21:1; Deuteronomy 29:29. He said the Bible is the Word of God and it is absolutely true. The reference that caught Jane was Psalm 103:19.
This is the version of that verse that Pastor Stanley (In Touch Ministries)read:
"The LORD has established His throne in the heavens,And His sovereignty rules over all...
(New American Standard)
What I (Jane)found was: "The LORD has established His throne in heaven,And His kingdom rules over all.(New King James AND most other versions I looked at)
I (Jane) thought that was interesting...goes with our study somewhat...and wanted to share.

Isn't God Awesome how He shows us what He wants us to know - that He is Sovereign over every aspect of our lives - He is in total control, there is not one thing that is out of the control of our Heavenly Father.
